About
Hello, I'm Kaz - a kiwi (New Zealand)
girl, married to my man and working
freelance design from our home.
Kroshajje (pronounced Kro-shaye) is my
new and budding brand.
Okay, so lets be honest. Blog @ Kroshajje
was created to showcase my two vintage
stores which are bulging full of quirkiness
and fun from eras bygone.
But hold on - that's just the beginning. I have to
admit that I'm also kind of obsessed with my
website stats - especially when it comes to
'countries visited'. I just love to travel and am
in awe of so many fascinating cultures, beautiful places and wonderful people that one single lifetime will not suffice to visit them all. That's when I hit on the idea of my 'country feature'. Let's talk to some of these people and find out about where they're from. We can take a virtual tour - whenever we want!
Oh, but I also love to shop. And create. I love to cook, follow fashion (somewhat) and look out for stuff for my simply adorable neices and nephews. So I'm going to share all of that here. Bit by bit. You'll need to stay tuned.
After completing my diplomas in photography and interior design I then discovered and un-tapped love for vintage. My eclectic style enjoys all the modern but just has to have something older thrown in for that otherwise lacking touch of 'character'.
And the colour bit? Well, after an impulse trip to a personal colour consultant with a bunch of friends I was hooked. A following trip for style consultation and further trips with more friends (I can be the persuasive type) and my appetite for colour is now full blown. I considered beginning the study of colour and happily following my career down that path... but decided that wasn't for me. Hence, Kroshajje was inspired and I'm here with my little vintage
stores and fascinations. And my need to design. Now I am studying
textile design so watch this space – for very soon Kroshajje Baby
will be born. With my mum's sewing skills, together we’re putting
together a range with an edge. Be sure to subscribe to keep up
with the fun!
Best!
Kaz
