Shop Hungary : TulipVintage talks about colours that remind her of Hungary, and their un-equaled cul

We asked Ildi Garay from TulipVintage: "The Hungarian Flag is Red, White and Green - but what colours mostly remind you of Hungary, and why?"

Ildi replied: "The color red from the flag reminds me most of Hungary. Red is the color of the Hot paprika that is the main ingredient in most of the Hungarian cooking recipes. It also is the color of the poppies that you see in most of the hand embroidered items and all over the countryside. In the countryside you find red hearts swirled with flowers painted on the window shutters and doors."

And a fabulous insight into the unmatched culture of Hungary really brings it to life: "This is a very family orientated society and one that respects women and their elders. The pace is slower and really focuses on family life. Enjoy today, eat drink and be merry. The culture is one of remembering, never forgetting the old customs in dance, music and literature. The embroideries awaken a nationalistic pride, the palinka and the poems awakens the romantic sensitive side of the Magyars."
